How to Love Your Introvert

Do not punish me for the silence in my goodbyes or the shortage of the words in my hello.
I will rarely know the right thing to say.
Do not take this silence for disinterest or assume I do not care.
The greatest gift I’ve ever wanted to give you is in the space I leave for you to grow.
Allow me to love you in the only way I know how, with metaphors and silence.
Love me enough to let me love you.
