How I Learned Calculus, Part One
Location
I went to Iraq to learn IROC,
then checked under a rock to find AROC.
I listened to a teacher’s tangent about Tangent,
turns out the trick to Trig is to trust the teacher.
It took me only a second to understand Secant,
and later I had my Cosine work cosigned.
Unfortunately, I had no hope to understand slope,
y = mx + b just seemed to elude me.
So then I went to Hungary and asked a Hun,
and he explained that it was rise over run.
Ayn Rand taught me radians,
and lumberjacks Logs.
It seems I have a lot left to say,
but no time left in this day.
So for now take this as an opportunity,
and while you’re at it, I’ll fix this poem’s temporary discontinuity.
