I suppose the phrase 'glow up' can mean many things 

whether grow up or light up or climb Up the social ladder

we have the classic physical rebirth 

with a glowing new body 

filled out with glowing smile 

and glowing highlights and contours and style 

this glow up is hard to achieve 

can't be created 

can be attempted

but never fully self created and self decided 

of course I'd love to glow up

find glowing smooth skin 

and glowing straight teeth 

and glowing fresh hair 

and glowing thin thighs

and of course I'd love to grow up as I glow up 

though nobody ever truly wants to grow up 

I think maybe I've grown up 

still waiting for that glow up 

I've found a subtle confidence

occasionally crippled by other glowing bodies

I've worked to find my values

my interests

my passions 

and while 

I may struggle to find a clear, definitive, glowing path 

I learn to love myself 

support myself 

accept myself 

for all the bits that glow 

and the bits that do not 

whether externally or internally 

forgive a lack of glowing skin

love my glowing soul 

and find a love that may not create a 

picture to picture 

wow what a change

kind of glow up 

but a love that creates a warm internal glow 

that works to defeat the forces

trying to diminish the light
