Honeysuckle smile—
With soggy eyes and lonely fears,
Seasoned hands and anxious ears,
It was a bittersweet night,
For his sweet sunshine had not returned home,
So he let his solemn mind roam—
And his barren heart loathe,
Yet he could not forget her shining face,
With her honeysuckle smile and love so wild—
Her soft silky voice filled his riled mind,
Contemplating their skinny love,
A love he was never ashamed of,
Yet guilt filled his heart
Was the it’s not you it’s me—
Really meant to be?
