Home At Last

Entering into the longest line I had ever seen,

I tried to decipher what it all means.

To my left, there is a lake of fire.

To my right is what my heart desires.

Now it is my turn to be judged.

I know I will be sent to the promised land above.

As I greet my Father face to face,

I know I have fallen short of His Son and His grace.

I think about how great it is that I, a sinner,

Am now forgiven and become a winner.

The debt of the cross, I can never repay.

Regardless, I am allowed to enter His kingdom and stay.

And until this glorious day arrives,

To spread His word and gospel, I strive.

But, for now, I'll just have to wait

To enter through that golden gate.
