Him

She stares out the window

Plugging her earbuds into her ears

blocking out life's problems

thinking about what humanity has done

to Mother Earth's children

about her problems

how selfish she is for thinking herself low

When there are worse things in life

that happens in different locations

but she still cares

she thinks about who she's fallen for

him.

his genuine laugh

his shy smile

his generosity

his kindness

his attitude towards his friends

hia beautiful brownish hazel-like eyes

the tiny curls in his hair

his outfits

his inspiration

She loves him.

she can't deny it

it's there

she'll tell him

one day

face to face

on the fourth of january

he won't expect it

she'll try not to make it strange

but it will happen anyway between them

the warmth of his hands that send tingles through her freezing hands

she loves him.

it's never happened before to her past crushes

it's this new feeling

it tugs at her heartstrings

she hates it

but loves it at the same time

She looks at the stars

and thinks about him for every single one

she loves him.

she's scared.

what if her heart is broken?

what if he hates her after?

what if?

she shakes her head.

she takes out her earbuds

the night sky supporting her actions

she smiles.

and thinks about the hope she withholds

she laughs

she's happy
