High school studying is like diving into new worlds all Mondays

            Tackling novelties every day

            Being an eternal apprentice of today

            Time preparing for life and a future at bay

            In sickness and in health

            You might face the bullying stealth

            And in doubt of your own self

            You feel hit bellow the belt

            Tears from your eyes melt

            Aggression and violence start building up inside

            Cornered and trapped with nowhere to hide

            Sentiments masking the fear of living

            Exclusion seems unforgiving

            But courage and speaking out win over compliance

            Goodness and self-confidence are used in defiance

            Writing is your consolation

            Reading others’ stories of abuse serve as motivation

            Your voice maybe heard by all the nation

            A light of hope deep in you awaken

            Differences are now praised, not discriminated

            Your spirit is healed, strong, unshaken

            New life challenges are once more ready to be overtaken
