Hiding

There are days when you just have to bury your head

Because you know that there's nobody there.

The people you thought you had trusted

Turned on you without single a care.

So you dig your deep hole in the ground,

Hoping that no one will see.

You don't want to bring attention around,

All that you wish is to flee.

The further inside of the Earth that you go,

The easier it is to ignore

All the faces surrounding your body below,

The unending, unyeilding sore.

Blocked from the pathway ahead of you,

Yet saved from the eternal behind,

Is quite a small comprmise made

for learning the secrets to hide.
