"Hidden"
A girl stands motionless in the falling rain. The clouds cas a dark shadow that scratches her face. Bitter cold nips at her bare arms as she huddles in a deserted cave. This "cave" is her bedroom where she welcomes the cold and darkness. Her tears are locked inside a damp blanket as she uses it to cover herself. She looks in the mirror, watching her new self. She walks up to slide her hand across the smooth, forgotten surface. It shatters as she watches her fist make hard contact with the glass. The broken pieces lay scattered on the scratchy carpet beneath her. The blood slides across her knuckles as she yells in complete agony. She runs her other hand along the soon-to-be jagged and painful scar. This is the only pain I can control in my life. It is my job to keep it hidden.
