Hidden

Deep inside me

Is a box

In which I have hidden

My true self

To keep me from harm.

I am hidden

By many masks

To keep others away.

My true self,

The one I have kept so deep,

Is fighting to get out

But is supressed in fear.

My greatest wish,

The one I hold closest to my heart

Is for someone to come

And unlock my secret box,

Release the one

That even I have long forgotten.

And yet

I fear the one

Who will come

The most.
