Hero of My Tale

We live in a world
Consumed in greed and corruption
Where the streets
Are covered in crimson stains
Where children are no longer children
Forced to join destructive groups
Like the monarch kings
That trigger cracks of thunder
Or the jokers with maniacal laughs
In the end
They take young lives
And tear families apart
Most of us have said
Our fates are sealed in stone
That there is no escape
From the dark hand
Of this cruel world
But that is not true
I was born in that dark reality
I witnessed the carnage
Of human monsters
And once too believed my fate was sealed
But I choose to live
For something more
I rose from the darkness
Tainted in shadows
But I continued to move forward
I did not let life's chains bind me
I fought against fate
And choose to become
The hero of my tale
