Heresy

Written in ABAB

I started to walk the path of the damned

The shouts of the holy behind me

I ignored their cries, they would not understand

With every step, I became more free

To rise and pray to this god

To lower myself to ground, humility, they call it

It is nothing, nothing at all but a facade

This god is nothing but man who demands us to submit

They demand I cover my mouth

That I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes

That I shall burn in hell for my doubt

For this god of theirs is everything but unjust

They question nothing for that is to disbelieve

For if they ask, what shall they do when it is false?

It is with this fear, they allow themselves to be foolish and deceived

No matter their demands, I shall move on, for my choice is not a loss
