Her Voice

I let the words consume me

like a tidal wave

crashing over me

I allow the words to guide me

through the doubts

the lies

the liars

I know I must speak

though fear holds me back

I know the words spoken will quide me to

the truth

to sanity

to hope

So I speak

not for the benefit of me

but for the benefit of others

those who can not muster the courage

who have been silenced

the words slither like a snake

with the sharpness of a blade

the beauty of a sunset

they fit in my mouth

like a home they've belong to all this time

I use the power hidden deep down

starved of life

after shut down

relentlessly

I speak so others can
