Her Savior

She struggles and fights with the voices in her head

They scream, they criticize, they fill her with dread.

She tries to outrun them, but she simply fails.

She slows down, tries to fight, but cannot prevail.

Her emotions consume her. Swallowing her whole.

She feels like a ball that continues to roll.

She feels alone with a long road ahead.

Nobody to help fight these demons in her head.

Inside, she wishes she could scream or shout.

But the voices in her head make her shut her mouth.

Alone is how she feels & doubt fills her mind.

She wishes she could escape & leave it all behind.

A feeling as warm as the sun, seems to warm her heart.

It  feels as if it is going to burst and tear her apart.

But then it softens and she hears loud and clear,

“Don’t worry my child, for I am here.”

She knows who is speaking, she knows who is coming to set her free.

Her heart fills with love, happiness, and glee.

His voice fills her head with wonderful sounds.

She wonders how long He will stay around.

His voice is soothing, it would make your heart melt.

He speaks soft but clear, “Don’t worry my child, for I have felt what you’ve felt.

I am here to release you from these troubles, you see.

These troubles shall be gone & you and shall be set free!”

Alas, she feels totally at peace.

Her mind and soul is truly at ease.

For she cannot thank the Lord enough for what He has done.

He gave her a fresh start & a new beginning has just begun.

And her future shall be filled with lots of prosperity.

And she will always remember, “I can do all things through Christ who

Strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.
