Her Climb

She sinks as she swims

Head barely above water

She falls as she walks

Knees scraped and bruised

Her confidence waning

Her hope out of reach

Happiness gone away

Life now unbearable

There are too many mountains

She hasn’t been able to climb

Constant uphill battles to conquer

Failing over and over again

She wants to make the mountains move

She wants to make the journey end

She wants to fight the despair

She wants to destroy the doubt

Hope is a light in the darkness

Darkness is conquered in battle

The battle is everyday life

Life is her daily climb
