Title: Helpless Generation

***

Access to anything,

Within a small palm,

Fingertips gliding across a screen but have we ever learned a thing?

A like and scroll done in repetitions,

Following a herd of cattle whilst our senses go down hill,

Questions flood our minds as we sit and ponder,

When we have strayed and far we wonder,

We praise the safety of our children,

Barricading them indoors,

Blinding them from reality,

With touch-screen phones.

We praise every little accomplishment they do,

Rather than let them create elbow grease,

For simply being on a team and attending every race,

They will have no desire or true motivation,

Because we...

Are the helpless generation.
