Hello Love

Sun, 09/05/2021 - 22:17 -- Wit

shhhh

Can you hear it?

The silence?

 Pressing upon your eardrums,

Knock knock,

Knocking on the side

Of your

Head?

Demanding to be let in!

Can you feel it?

The thump thump

Thumping, of your heart?

As it begins to race

The blood

 Flowing

 from your veins

Down to  your toes

Up to your fingertips

Looking for an escape.

Its futile

It’s too late!

For,

 every inhale

every exhale

Its intoxicating closeness

Encroaches upon your airways

Leaving, you

To suffocate

So, with your last breaths

Can you see it?

Its angelic form

So, mesmerizing

So, captivating

Forcing its way through,

Your pupils?

Engulfing your vision

Devouring your sight

Leaving you

With but

A dancing shadow

An imprint of its

Tantalizing nakedness

its promises

Of absolute bliss

Burned upon your retinas.

As it burrows its way deeper

Down your throat

Past the tightening of your lungs

Squirming through your organs

Looking for a place to call home.

So, I ask once more

Can you hear it?

Its rattling sweet breath,

Pouring through your ears

Dripping down,

Down

Down to your heart

Where its

Needle like fingers

Squeeze ever so slightly

In a affectionate gesture

As its voice calls your name

Its echoes dislodging something in your brain

Making you,

Bring down your defenses

And say,

Hello, love
