Hello, Good Night

Foggy mornings

Blazing afternoons

Humid evenings

Cool Nights.

Night

Full of darkness

That darkness

Can be filled with light

From the twinkling stars

So far away

Or from a gentle moon

Reflecting our Sun's light.

Crickets sing their nightly song

Song to the Queen of Night

She settles into her routine

Of putting us to sleep.

Sleeping slumber

Joyous wonder

Here comes Dawn

Saying, "Hello, Good Night"
