Heartbroken Heaven

The heartbeat of this house
Speeds and slows,
Leaving me breathless.
Haunting every thought
With careless concern for
Unrealistic ideals.
Bending over backwards,
Breaking to make it through.
Choose freedom, my love,
and I will show you
A better way to rest.
Oh, prisoner!
put down your chains
And walk towards the light.
Quit cowering in fear
Of the storm by night,
It's over now,
a new day is won.
You don't have to fight anymore,
Dark has been abandoned,
Relinquish your shame,
It has no place here,
Only forgiveness and love.
Once you did not believe me,
When the demons inside
Kept whispering "you must not try".
But it was never your job
To save yourself,
That is why I came.
For honest love and redemption,
To banish all your shame.
So in freedom we walk,
Together as one-
The broken made whole
To find joy once again.
