Healing Notes

Ever since I was a child, I've developed my love for music.

I spread my talent and let it soar to those who needed to use it.

I have seen the precious magic of music in my songs,

it makes my heart connections stronger, even though, they were there all along.

Scholarship dollars are commonly given to the obvious people who heal.

Doctors and nurses can heal the body, but what matters more is the way we feel.

Dorothy was dying from cancer, her husband always at her side.

My songs made them weep and laugh and eased her heavenly ride.

Souls need comfort as angels take flight,

music can help warm the soul and shed some happy light.

So many people can write cliches,

I write to find some special ways,

to pursue my dreams made long ago,

by way of schooling and making my voice grow.

Roses are red, violets are blue,

music students need scholarship money too.
