He said..She said...They said...

He said I was a liar, I said "you just don't know the truth." 

She said I'm not pretty, I said "well I'm sure not ugly."

They said I wasn't good enough, I said "you’re right, I am more than good enough."

He said I am not smart, I said "true, I am a genius."

She said I couldn't sing, so I laughed.

They said it couldn't be done, I said “have you ever tried?"

He said I am poor, I said “I am self-employed."

She said I am fat, I said "I'm the perfect body of mass."

They said I am trash, I said “God told me I was a treasure."

Everyone thought I was nothing, that I was bound to fail and never succeed, 

yet they fail to see who I am, I am the result of struggle and the end to a long journey,

I am the glory that people see yet never know how I got it, I am what God intended me to be, I am blessed and highly favored.
