He Gave us all a Gift.

The sky is the limit to the life I'm trying to design, I'm steady writing out the steps with this rhythm and this rhyme. Or with this rhyme and this rhythm, hustle is the given, the equation equals grind, and success equals mine. I'm on a step ladder to reach all I can acheive, money is the motive don't dare misconceive. I can do all things through christ that strengthens me, a better life for my children is what I foresee. I have expensive taste, I want to live in the lap of luxury. And I'll grind to the death of me, because it means that much to me. I'm always dreaming of a better place, soon to be my reality, I just pray for a life that looks better than miss congeniality. See for me, my music is my life. And my life is music. God gave me this gift, its guranteed I'm gonna use it. Not for me, but as an outlet for my family. To get us out of hotels and basements, back to a place where we're supposed to be. As a Kid I never thought this would happen to me, not having a place to call home back to the notepad I flea, to express myself in this God given plea, to connect my thoughts in this here poetry. See for me music life, and my life is music. On the outside I'm great, but on the inside I'm about to lose it. Lying to myself with the ones around me clueless, this life I live why did God have to do this. I was just a kid that had it all at one point in his life, and now I'm just a kid with a dream and a paycheck thats tight. I hustle so hard, all I know is grind. But guess what? This little light of mine, I'm still gonna let it shine. Trials and tribulations, confusion or complication, defeat or dominiation, all just to test my concetration. God gave us all a gift, but its on you what you do to use it. But as for me, I tell my story through this thing we call music.                                                           - Jonathan S
