The Haunting Kiss

The haunting kiss That lingered upon my lips With the poison of desire Embracing the air I could not breathe And yet I had devoured Less unknown when he became The one who took it all away My heart shattered and laid upon the ground For I had been shamed And no one knew What he had told me That my heart was made of gold But then my heart could not have shattered But melt in his hold.
