The Hardest Words to Say

Mon, 04/04/2016 - 22:01 -- J.T.W

This a world full of pride, that never wants to die

And most of us, forget how to be humble, no matter how hard we try

I'm sorry and I forgive you seem to be the hardest words to say

The world says revenge is right, and a bitter heart with the so called good reason is ok

There are hundreds of languages in the world, but rarely is the tongue of love, trust, and forgiveness spoken

In a poor land, the currency of caring for one another, isn't given to the charity of others, as a token

Saying soory takes a person's pride and arrogance and twin ignorance are put aside

Only then do love, acceptance, and the ability to righting a wrong come in a high tide

Saying I forgive you releases you from the chains of torment and pain

Shuts the door on things being the bitter same, and opens the floodgates of change

It's also takes away the person's power to make  a dark cloud rain over your head

Then you go out for revenge, digging a grave for them cause you wish them dead

But with all of the energy, wasted on hating, your throwing, ruining ,and taking your life instead

So I'll keep practing to myself, for a good time and place, although I know anytime is a good time, and the right line

I'm sorry and I forgive you will always be the hardest words to say, but I will say it to you

cause losing you and myself is the fine

One I dare not to pay
