Happy Holidays!

My feet collide with the blanket of white,

The snow groaning beneath the pressure of my heel,

Their bones snapping,

A grin tugs at my lips as I slide across the glossy, pale surface,

The shining of green and red lights are embedded within my sight,

The shimmering glow of the frost,

The cold, harsh winds of winter brush against my skin,

My nose grows cold as it blushes a tomato red,

A giggle sounds through the air,

A man made of a flurry powder is surrounded by laughter,

Attired in a warm scarf and hat

With mittens a rufescent hue,

The sounds of tearing plays through the air,

Decorated paper is scattered everywhere,

The fingertips of dawn gliding across the dark blue sky,

A snicker here and there as a ball of white dashes through the zone,

A soft feminine voice swims through my ears,

Her chocolate eyes gazing at the music sheet in her palms,

My eyes travel around the atmosphere,

'Merry!' 'Joy!' 'Fun!' In bold everywhere,

An aroma so potent,

The corners of my mouth are dripping with a translucent liquid,

As the slobber dribbles down my chin,

Fruit cakes, hot chocolate, tamales and pozole,

The warmth and comfort this day provides,

On such a cold day.
