Happiness as a Translator

Wed, 04/16/2014 - 23:44 -- shari

I mingle among people from afar

gaining trust on common ground

embracing their tongue and customs

The moment my tongue moves

natural and sharp sounds

I can only smile as my heart gleams

knowing I am actually communicating

in a language not of my own

Since I can remember

When asked of my hobbies

I said studying languages

And now every day I get paid

for translating the languages

I lost sleep over studying
