Green is not mean

Surrounded by nature,

the peace, quiet, and fulfilling swamp,

this nature was disrupted by a Lord.

This nature was home to a green one,

This nature was unlawful to a green ogre,

This nature was beautiful, to one called Shrek.

The Lord was quite rude and spoiled,

The Lord wanted a deal maker,

Promising the green ogre his natured swamp back.

As for Shrek, he declined and declined,

Over and over, Lord was outrageous,

maybe a little contagious givin' the lord a moody moment.

The Lord was not gracious of the decline,

Leaving Shrek banished for life.

A fortune teller once told Shrek that upon a time,

he would meet the love of his life.

The ogre was caged in his mind,

He wanted to rewind.

Shrek avoided the teller's concept of his life,

He knew it would be a trick that led to a wife.

The ogre wanted a education,

to be more harmless to people.

Later on, he succesfully became the best mechanic in the world.

News was delievered that the man who banished ogre,

married the wife that was supposed to be for the green one.

Oh how the ogre was stun,

Oh how the ogre has so much fun,

He laughed and laughed,

wishing better for the lord than marriage.

The ogre was a silly one.

However, he lived a happy and non-dreary life,

That'd let nothing get into his way.
