Gray World

What would you say
If the sky were never again blue
If it were always gray
An unending silence
A darkened world
A haunting presence
Now cast like a violent word
If all your life began
With struggle and strife
Forever you ran
From a world rife
With the dangerous people
Who overreact because the world
Is forever gray
What would you say
