Gray Skies
Gray Skies
Blank lifeless quiet and down
It’s how life seems when you’re not around
Gray skies that are damp full of fog and mist
Silent heart, cant breath you’re so deeply missed
Memory of your scent as your neck touches my lips
The softness of your touch when your hand rubs my hips
Lonely silence fills my room as I picture your face
A tear drop runs down my cheek leaving a trace
Gray skies that reach for miles and covers the sun from its shine
North to south state to state the distance is a crime
Gray skies fill my space and you’re so far away
Long distance relationship depending on weekends, to see your face
Counting the days till we will unite and be in each other’s arms
Temporary ray of light brings hope and turns coldness to warm
Longing for the day the gray skies will fade away
When blue skies beauty will take its place
When our lives are joined and our worries are few
With God in the middle there is nothing we can’t do.
Gray skies are temporary; the clouds will soon spread apart
When we are standing face to face beating to one heart
