Gratitude From a Stubborn Girl

I'm a little complicated...

I'm never sure

and I'm always contemplating.

Yet, you see the best in me.

Telling me to throw out the negativity

and focus on the rest of me.

You understand

and you demand

that for the stars I reach.

And you teach

me

that I am the key to my future.

And to throw away the keys to the bad of the past

because that is the only way I'll be able to move forward

and last.

You've never interupted me in the midst of my dreams.

Yet, you still know just when

to step in

as my world implodes on a tiny me.

At times I am too proud to thank you

or say that I'm sory for the mess thst I can be.

But I swear, it's true.

Because honestly,

I wouldn't be the me that I am

without you.
