Grama, I thank you

Molding my mind with a heart

You gave me the best start

Your long hair

Your fluffy body

Your kind voice

Oh your kind voice

Sometimes I would get mad

For the accidents I had

We would bicker

We would fight

But even then I still said

I love you

Now I am living on my own

I’m living in another home

One that is not yours or mothers

Just a kind house of another

She reminds me of you.

Your long hair

Your fluffy body

Your kind voice

But she is not you

She is new.

She reminds me of you.

I thank you, Grama

For the memories we shared

Your kind soul has helped me

Become one like you

So kind, so nice.

Even now I say

I love you.
