To The Government...

Fri, 04/22/2022 - 08:03 -- A_pple

You take my father’s money,

Yet not his boss’s.

His debt accumulates,

While the big man stands and watches.

Doing nothing, for him.

Because he was not born here.

Yet he calls this land,

That doesn’t welcome him,

Home.

His opportunities are cut off,

He is dumb he is stupid.

Yet he has a phd,

Yet he isn't what you say.

But you still stand and watch.

Unless it is a white man they insult.

In your hospitals,

You judge my mother

For her quick spanish.

When she was giving birth,

She was extra, for screaming,

A drama queen, obnoxious,

So you shut her up with morphine.

Almost killing her.

Leaving me alone.

But you stand and watch,

What the fuck are they to you?

In the border,

You push us away,

When all we wanted,

Was some food and some bread.

You push us away.

To our warzones,

Bleeding, and crying.

You could’ve helped.

Yet you still stand and watch.

Yet still have that beacon,

Of welcoming.

That’s shit.

You don’t treat me that way,

Not if you don't see my name.

But only my skin, my hair.

Then you welcome me,

No objections.

Why?

Why must you hold so much hate?

To those I love?

Giving me this guilt,

Because you simply say I’m better.

With your false sense of justice,

As he still stands and watches.

You give me the upper hand,

Take you down from the inside,

So you just stand and watch,

While I kick your ass.
