The Goals of a Patient Bystander

Sat, 11/25/2017 - 22:23 -- cb1102

To one day feel whole

Without the hesitation

Of one who dips their toes

Tentatively upon the surface

Of the water

To one day feel whole

Without the fear

Of one who has fallen

From a jagged cliff and no

Longer steps foot upon

Their own porch

To one day feel whole

Without the dread

Of one who has been hurt

Once twice three times over

By the same wicked spirit

In a multitude of

Different vessels with the

Same pretty smile

These are the goals of a

Patient bystander in a

World of impatience

And greed
