The Glacier
I wish to be an ice cold glacier; cold, alone, and yet full of nature.
The words introvert and extrovert don't apply to the gentle, giant glacier.
For without its lifewater, birds could not fly,
Babies will cry, and we would die.
With the warmth of his love, he gave his lifewater while greedy men melted the innocent ice.
With money on their minds, they ignored the slaughter of all that inhabit the ice
To them a small price
To roll the deadly die.
No different from Russian roulette with a loaded chamber,
From their actions, the earth will die.
Oh beautiful glacier! Without you, the earth would be somber.
I can see you even from afar,
How massively majestic you are,
Fulfilling life-providing duty,
With size, strength, and beauty.
