Give In

As I wander aimlessly in the womb of the Earth

I gaze upon her fetus with the open innocence of a child.

As her wonder envelops me and pulls at my consciousness in every direction

I give in.

Her beauty is mystifying and overwhelming.

To make sense of her whimsical ways, the record is crafted.

Molded and shaped into an understanding and an eventual acceptance

I give in.

When she forces her oppression upon me,

I lay back and watch for the fleeting birds, they alone are strong enough.

Strong enough to carry me up into the clouds cool embrace where it is easy enough to forget.

I give in.

The Earth is forever calling and soon I am dragged back

By her long tendrils that snake over my body. But to her dismay

She finds the tighter her bind, the less it can hold. I dissipate into a thousand words.

I give in.
