the girl with the sun-kissed honey eyes
I stare into her eyes and float in those bottomless
pools of sun-kissed honey,
words flow from her mouth like poetry as we lay intertwined
in the silvery silk sheets as if we are but one
I drape her hair around my fingers,
as her’s caress the skin above my heart
The warmth betwixt our bodies softens the pain.
We lay
and
we lay
as our heartbeats become a singular force
until finally,
I am content.
