That Girl

Location

When he said, "Write me your story,"

That girl only took one piece of paper

But he

He made sure to add an 's' at the end of her paper

That girl wrote too much she stopped

When she ran out of lead

But he handed her a sharpener

That girl had an upside down C

Plastered on her face

But his mouth laughed humor into her smile

When he asked a question

That girl slumped down in her chair

But he made sure her hands dance high

That girl took a needle

And sewed her lips shut

But he asked her thoughts to speak aloud

That girl sat alone

And it was his profession that sat beside her

And that girl...

That girl is me.
