Gaming Pantoum

The eyes water,

throbbing behind sockets.

One more kill

until this game is done.

Throbbing behind sockets,

electrical pulses run

up through the cords into

the burning computer screen.

Electrical pulses run,

from neurons to synapsis

moving the fingers

the only exercise in weeks.

From neurons to synapsis,

the spark of life

snuffed by the cooling fans

of a desktop server.

The spark of life,

lost in his eyes.

The game continues,

one life left.
