The Future of US

We are offended by things so temporary,

Things that will soon cease to be.

We are offended by those who are offended

But they too will be gone, don’t you see?

Night and day come and go, media abounded.

By opinions thrown about, we are so sorely surrounded.

But what opinion towards a brother, your sons and your mothers,

Aimed so violently will last, any longer than this earth’s brief summer?

Aren’t we living or passed in all one sense human?

But none of us act humane, leaving each other in true ruin.

Working with each other, Can’t we join in unity?

Bringing hope to the future US, un-disturbed by death’s solemn tree.
