For the Future Me

Morning grogginess, held down by stressThoughts of yesterday, studying for today's testTired of every single morning's same tiring processThen I remember the promise I made to always try my best "To never regret the past"Is the promise I made to the future me.It's the thing that makes me lastNo matter how hard the morning may be. Every day is menacing,Surrounded by those full of regret,We never know what the future will bring,And thus cannot prepare ourselves for anything yet. But we can always try our best,Strive to be the best we can be.Simply, put our limits to the testFor the future you, and for the future me. In 10 years, I promise to never look back,And wonder why I didn't do this, why I didn't do that. But to accomplish this, the morning I must first attack...And so I roll out of bed, ready for combat.
