Birds chirp as the rays shine in,
another beautiful day to spend with my kin.
I awake in a haze
only the start of my journey, the first phase.
I have so many big dreams
overjoyed with my future, bursting at the seams.

Until August, college awaits me
and I’m excited, even though it’s not free.
I’m filled with curiosity, so much to learn
hopefully leaving with two degrees I must earn.
I await the challenges and opportunities I will face
hopefully time will slow down and not make this a race.

After college, I’ll look for a successful and rewarding career,
I’ll achieve what I want, no need to fear.
Making people’s lives easier would be the best
giving back is rewarding, that is the ultimate test.
This will lead to a long and successful life
and eventually one day I’ll be a wife.

Life can’t go on forever
so I’ll live with the attitude of never say never.
If I go through life without any regrets
my life should be perfect, I will be set.
If I am pleased with what I have done and where I have been
I will absolutely consider my life to be a win.
