Freedom in a cage

Location

I Know why the cagebird once sung
he sung becuase he was happy
he thought he was free
and in a since he was
he was  freed to a cage
with rusted towers for bars
that threw shadows
masked as oppurtunites
that stared down throug a glass ceiling
that says the sky is the limit
but due to his oprression
his limit was the sky
so he sung and sung
and till this day he still asks a riddled question
ARE WE REALLY FREE
