I am no longer free as I see the world
big corporations and the government taking over my curb
Forcing the mom and pop shops to close
only to find out that their home was foreclosed

I can see the world through their lies and deceptions
their letting the banks get away with their vile intentions
Recession is the word yet the government doesn’t seem to care
all the sheep just seem to eat it up until the depression begins to stare

Political correctness is changing the world
my government tries to tape shut my mouth with those cold words
they take my First Amendment rights away
just to say I said something the wrong way

The shills in Washington praising the patriot act
Trying to make We The People simply not react
It’s good they say, a sacrifice we must take
But what they fail to realize is it’s just another mistake

Most of the men in Washington see our Constitution as a joke
They say it’s just outdated and that it’s simply broke

But what they fail to realize is the corruption and lies
That they’re really the ones that the people despise

The government is making us pay for pork barrel projects
Taking our money and putting it in their big dirty pockets
Get out and work hard, the government continues to say
We will take your money anyway

Propaganda task force in most of our schools
Teaching our kids how to be fools
Teachers everywhere most of them bad
Very few good ones are to be had

big brother telling me that they’re drilling my rights
Telling me not to feel fright or to put up a fight
The government says I’m free just the same
Get back to work to forget they’re to blame
 
The political machine can’t get anyone good elected
It stalls and waits until we’re all infected
The virus of corporatism, it instills our flesh
Only to be poor and to regress
 
They keep telling me that I’m blind as a bat
That I really have all the freedoms that they took back
Freedom redefined by the government mind telling me I’m
As Free as a bill, just to be refined right into a shill.
