Four Kids Sitting On Tha Block

Sat, 09/05/2020 - 22:33 -- G'nova

There four kids sitting on the block
Living life so fast they took just to watch
Knowing every single day is a day they could get knocked

By some wayward hooligan driving up with a Glock

With the world how it is

Its no wonder why these parents fear

Is not burying themselves

But burying their kids

Since each day they got to look at the news

And watch upon another light dim to soon

Before the world had a chance to renew

It’s taken by the darkness that consumes

We see in it live-action

I went to school once and heard thunder crashing

Which would have been a panic

But we’re so numb to it now
It like meh it happens
With training drills that trains assassins

Its no wonder how these bad things happen

On my block all, I see is the madness

So oftentimes I wonder when will it vanish

Like when will the world just stop being evil

And start healing its people

In order to defend them from the snakes

Cause man, they’re deceitful

I know this isn’t a lot
To make the madness just stop

But it would be waste to not sit here and not just jot
About the plagues that humanity has wroth
Maybe we have to be a little orthodox

And think outside the box

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
