With a force greater than gravity
I'd fight for you,
Because this life won't mean a thing
if you're not sheltered beneath my wing,
With a depth deeper than the darkest abyss
I can relate to you,
Because if my skies are gray, and yours are blue
I can't help but feel the color seeping through,
With serenity more calm than a moonless sea
I can sit with you, and just be,
You're my best friend, and I'm blessed to say I'm yours,
It's only been four years, but it feels like fourteen more,
With trust that is steadier than a tree,
If you're in trouble, I'll be there on the count of three,
And I would sacrifice anything
if you asked me to,
Because it's a force greater than gravity
that pulls me to stand by you.
