Footsteps on the Path

A thousand miles begins with one step

A thousand ways to look at it

Like a picture.

A Picture says a thousand words…

Cliched.

There is something more below the surface.

Hidden.

        Secret meanings

Depths of emotions

Invisible to the realistic eye

Pull back the covers.

See through a different lens.

Cliched.

There may be pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Pain. Like the lost raindrops in the corner of your window

Joy. Like the quiet whisper of the wind in your hair.

Blowing away thoughts of inevitable pain.

Cliched.

It’s so much more.

Its beautiful.

Pain is beautiful.

Pain opens up a part of ourselves we never new existed.

Tears stream down because you’ve found the love that looks far beyond your mistakes.

That realization is morning light with her warm embrace and absolute relief.

Relief from affliction and distress.

When you can smile and that smile gives others hope.

Hope that is

Substantial and real.

Hope that is a dazzling light that attracts all to it.

Pain and Joy?

Its so much more.

Cliches.

Prevent us from going deeper within ourselves.

Let’s reveal everything we kept hidden

Why is there a constant evasion?

Why are we scared?

We should be scared

When the beauty of a sunset becomes meaningless.

Sunsets are the most infectious laughter.

The brightest of smiles.

It inspires Crimson reds. Dancing shadows.

The beauty of those shadows!

Little girls on the sidewalk

lovers hand in hand

We cast them aside as they cast their splendor on us.

Deeper and deeper. No more fear. No more cliches.

Open our eyes.

It’s time for beauty to show itself again.

That day will arrive. Beauty will overcome us.

Like that first crisp snow

Like a rushing waterfall

Like the comforting smell of rain.

Like a sunset. Smiling it’s crimson red.
