Foot Prints Hidden in the Sand

I walk out as Dawn arrives

She greets me with a beautiful sunrise

Colors of rebirth and new life

And I stand in the sand

Buried feet, Nestled around grains

And I walk slowly forward

My feet growing deeper in the sand

Behind I look, to see no prints

What have I left behind?

It's more than skin deep.

It's more than a surface to see.

Maybe in the moments of life

I have left something behind.

Deeper than what we see

On below the surface of the sand,

My hidden prints.
