Floating

Fri, 11/28/2014 - 23:18 -- Leyoht

Let me float about

Till the sun descends.

Let me travel free

Till we meet our ends.

Let me breathe in your waters.

Oh please—just one more time.

I want to be free once more

Away from all this grime.

Though I am unable

To breathe this atmosphere,

I would love to spin about

And swim till the night is here.

Sometimes I wish I could go

And live before the waves.

But then soon I would find out

I'll set you in your grave.

More than I need water,

You need me by your side.

More than honeysuckle,

You're sweeter than the tide.

Someday you will realize

Why I feel so alone,

But, till then, I have you

Even if by a phone.
