Fledglings

Battered and worn down all day
Only to rise renewed with the moon

Temptation lurking in the heart
Leaking into our actions

Forgetting the pains of the past
And venturing forth into the new horizon

Looking for acceptance
Without first looking within

Smirks and smiles
Alongside tears and trepidation

All is at stake
Yet we are bound to Risk

Leaping before looking
Falling in and out of love

We race beside Time
Ever changing
