Flames of Innocence

A newborn rose glistened in the moonlight
Breath in fondness as it dies on the spotlight
Feathers of birds fall to frame hopes
Captivating breezes stay afloat

Cry tears of healing diamonds
The rose dreamt of this island
Yet, she wasn't aware of the fire's existence
Or the toxic dirt beneath her tenderness

Glowing from her naive dreams
She drowned under earth's peaceful scenes
The moon would say through the heavy seas
"Rose don't dream, I can't see you bleed"

So confused so unbalanced the rose dreamed
Of golden petals she'll shine like a queen
Swiftly an explosion from behind the streams
Erupted above the rose's dream

The night where the sun was landing
The helpless moon wasn't hanging
Peace absconded the heavy seas

Ashes painted on mid-air gleams
As fire destroyed the rose's loveliness
The shades of fear in the dirt's ugliness
Stained the sky with flames of innocence
